Medical Miracle or Mistake?
Fundamental elements of life and the aspects of cloning bring dramatic advancement to the scientific and medical community; however, is this fast-paced artificial reproduction an intrusion of Nature or a doorway to infinite, medical cures? In lieu of scientific developments in the biological mainstream, the human intervention of life and it's natural state are of utmost concern. Questions are being raised as to what constitutes life produced naturally into this world as opposed to man-made biocreationism. Current events depict a dangerously evolving senerio that will eventually lead to life altering, moral dilemmas. The query here is whether we, as human beings, can justify the birth of alternative life. Physicians of all fields excitedly anticipate what expectedly will stimulate medical achievements on a phenomenal scope. If you can, imagine the limitless possibilities. Heart transplant waiting lists would be a thing of the past. Accident victims could eventually have limb replacements by way of simple, DNA extraction. The ideology that manipulated organs can be created on demand, will definitely expand human lifespans. This, in turn, will bare increasing weight on this already over-populated world. What becomes the deciding factor of who lives or dies will have serious reprecussions. "Logan's Run," a 70's television series comes to mind when faced with this imminent technology. In this program, the Earth is overpopulated and depleted of natural resources. This fictional dramatization depicts life without illness; however, when one reaches the age of 30, he or she is incinerated to create more space for those remaining. Although "Logan's Run" was only a novelty, it was indeed a sign of things to come. Another issue is loss of life. When the time arrives, (and it will) that we have unbiasly accepted the fate of actual human cloning, individuality and the constitution of what is a "real" human will enter into the field of morality. If a loved one passes on, will we simply replace him or her with a biocreated human counterpart or twin? And if so, who is to say that the individual characteristics of this artificially-created person will be exactly duplicated, personality-wise? Then there's the standpoint of human rights. Will these mimic humans have equality as do naturally-born ones? Ethical factors have not been conscienciously studied by the scientific community. Bio-intervention is expidiciously volumizing the evolution of mankind. At which interval do we acknowledge life as mere science? Or do we accept our individual fates as human beings, appreciating our growth in spirituality? The question is - what is to become of the soul of our life when we realize that death is nonexistent? Something to ponder. © 01/2003 C. Bailey-Lloyd

Cold Fusion And as I was typing this, I stopped for a while to watch the news and saw that what I wrote just a while ago in terms of human evolution has already become the likely scenario according to the media because of a new skull found in Kenya. A 3. Electromagnetic Energy in Space Tesla was always looking for a way to harvest electromagnetic energy and deliver it to the world wireless, after reading a biography about Tesla, I had come up with this concept. Why not put a satellite that counter rotates the Earth and is located at the poles. Can Rain Makers Really Make Rain? Whenever there's a drought, someone will come up with the idea of finding a rain maker, or holding a day of prayer for rain. Now far be it for me to make light of people who are in truly desperate straits and who are prepared to try anything to relieve their precarious situation. Locusts To Help Make Energy From Bio Waste, part II If we take the menace, nuisance and destructive Locust, we can create a win/win situation by and allowing it to survive and happily eat our bio-waste filling up our dumps. Then as it progresses and digests the food it will create energy. Increasing Lightening Storm Intensity and Direction Control of Strikes Using four UAVs in formation with one C-130 Hercules Aircraft or 747 with onboard laser:http://www.de. Lighter Than Air Tubular Flight I propose a lighter than air tubular unmanned mini blimp be designed. Such a craft would have many great applications. The Impact of Efficient Epistemologies on Algorithms In recent years, much research has been devoted to the refinement of gigabit switches; nevertheless, few have constructed the synthesis of neural networks. The notion that cryptographers connect with large-scale theory is generally considered appropriate. Laser Ionization Airflow Tunnel Flight Theory I believe their is a way to have an on board aircraft laser the air in front of it and move the air out of the way, thus less friction at lower altitudes, no sonic booms and rapid acceleration no induced or parasite drag at low altitudes. You could call it hyper laser atmospheric conditioning. Transducers - The Remarkable Changers Complex control systems all make use of signals that can be easily measured and altered remotely. Automatically operated machines or actuators need to be powered either by electrical motors, pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders. We Have Come Along Way in Our Exploitation of Transportation We sure have come along way since the horse and buggy or the first Model T that left the assembly line. We have attempted to build unbelievable transportation items and prototypes for instance; the Spouse Goose, jet powered bullet trains, under water autonomous vehicles and those X-Planes. Small Attack Submarines, Which Turn Into Hydrofoils and Fly We propose single man underwater vehicles (attack submarines), which have inflatable Airbags using CO2 cartridges for rapid ascent. The design of these vehicles will encompass bended material, which makes rings underneath resembling typical designs of small hydrofoils. Saving People in Disaster Crisis, Concept So often when we see huge Natural Disasters there are many people killed, but for everyone who perishes there are 5-10 people injured; many very seriously. So often too the region of the world were the disaster occurs does not have enough hospital beds, medical professionals or the right equipment needed to help save those lives. Making a Lightening Storm? Here is a very basic concept idea/plan to harvest energy from Lightening. It is done in an artificial chamber, simulating weather in the atmosphere, but under exact and controlled circumstances; still in the incubation-thinking phase. Energy and America America is entering into a time of Energy crisis. It could easily be the greatest crisis that human-kind is to face. Sound From Transmission Power Lines Should Never Be Wasted High Tension Power lines and transmission line towers make noise, we have all heard this. But Sound can be a source of energy in that it can be harvested to make steam in my humble opinion. Making Diamonds Using The Earth We can make diamonds using the Earth's inner forces, extreme pressure and heat. We simply send Carbon Blocks in tubes, which have been drilled into the Earth's Mantle. RFID Sensors to Protect Water Supplies Recently the US Military has developed a special set of sensors for water supplies for troops. Any time a base camp is set up it is important to monitor the water supplies and test them. Pandemic Crisis Cure Concept What happens if the world is faced with a Pandemic, for which no cure currently exists but one is on the verge of being discovered? Here is a concept, which with the proper protocols could save the human race from near extinction. Human Hibernation. Mars is not hollow; is it? Is Mars Hollow? We are pretty sure it is not, but no one can be certain however we might soon know. The reason such a question is asked is because of questions about the Earth and the time it takes for sound waves to travel through it. Cloaking the Postage Stamp Modern Aircraft Carrier By using a special coating on the deck of an aircraft carrier and a projector on the top of the tallest communications mast facing down, we could project the image of the ocean onto the deck like a giant IMAX theatre screen. Although this sounds like a daunting task, it isn't really. |
